BIO – Robyn McCollum aka RadioRobyn
Robyn McCollum, affectionately known as RadioRobyn—a name that foreshadowed her destiny——has established herself as a formidable presence in gospel radio since launching Black Gospel Radio in 2002. This multi-award-winning station, nominated for a 2023 Stellar Gospel Award, ranks among the top internet-only gospel music platforms, where she serves as both Program Director and host.
Robyn expanded her radio presence in 2004 when she joined multi-Stellar Award-winning WIMG in Trenton, NJ as Midday Host, eventually advancing to the Morning Show position. In 2010, she fulfilled a long-held dream by joining Philadelphia’s WNAP 1110-AM, Gospel Highway Eleven, the city’s pioneering all-gospel music station, where she continues to host the PM Drive show, even after the station’s 2021 transition to digital-only broadcasting.
Robyn joined the on-air team at Reach Gospel Radio in 2021, a network broadcasting across 20 North American cities, including Canada. She started as a weekend host, progressed to weekday evening host, and now serves as the weekday afternoon drive host.
Robyn entered the radio promotions arena in 2018, initially joining Kerry Douglas Radio Promotions before transitioning in 2019 to play a vital role on Fred Jerkins’ We Break Records Radio Promotions team, contributing to multiple tracks reaching number one on the Billboard Gospel Airplay charts.
Robyn founded Gospel Airplay Now in 2017, a digital radio servicing company providing gospel music, radio programs, and content to the gospel radio industry, working with major promoters, independent labels, content providers, and artists. Her industry leadership expanded in 2023 when she joined the National Association of Gospel Radio as Director of Membership Services and Recruitment.
Robyn launched the “Gotta Love Gospel Radio Show” in 2024, a 2-hour program focusing on various gospel music sub-genres (hymn, choir, quartet, praise & worship, independent gospel artists, classics, etc.) along with other great features. The show is set to be syndicated and distributed to multiple stations in the gospel format in 2025. That same year, she joined the Radio subcommittee of the Gospel Industry Coalition, further serving the gospel format.
Robyn’s versatile talents extend to voiceover work, social media promotions for various radio teams, and consulting services for radio stations and independent artists.
