Bishop Charles R. Lyles _ The New John Howard Gospel Caravan – Free
Since 1967, the New John Howard Gospel Caravan has been a traditional gospel choir with the following recordings credited to their ministry internationally and nationally, “If You Need a Blessing”; “He That Endureth”; “I Want To Be Holy”; “Lift Him Up”; and “Payday”. We have shared the stage with accomplished artists such as the Winans, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Barry Manilow, Natalie Cole, Peabo Bryson, Patti Austin, Sheena Easton, James Ingram, Melissa Manchester, Christopher Cross and Oleta Adams.
This song has the potential of becoming an iconic anthem of hope; to the downtrodden, disenfranchised, and marginalized. As we reflect on all that the year 2020 brought us the desire to be FREE could never be more realized. The attack on our democracy with and insurrection appeared to be the final straw. However in Times like these we can only look to Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of our Faith. HE assures us that One Day We Will Be “FREE”.
